Personal Development
Personal Development
In this personal development workshop you will become more aware of your own behavior patterns around confrontation and challenge and discover how this affects your professional life. Staying in dialogue, being clear and focused despite the tendency to fight, flee or freeze when threatened should be part of our interpersonal repertoire.
- How can we break through protective and defensive patterns and keep in touch?
- How do we listen and find our voice in difficult situations?
- How can we help others speak up in a difficult conversation?
In this two-day workshop, we look at psychological theory and neuroscientific research to show what gets in the way of clear communication. The workshop draws on ideas from nonviolent communication and provides an opportunity to explore and practice how to speak, be heard and options for moving forward. The two days of this workshop are a few weeks apart, so that what you have learned can be put into practice.
Stories we tell ourselves
A personal development workshop that uses creative arts to explore and expand our view of ourselves
Stories we tell ourselves Traditional stories and fairy tales passed down through our families from generation to generation can provide strength, support and transformation. In this workshop we explore personal stories and their impact on our lives. There will be an opportunity to explore, reflect and rewrite aspects of our stories to embrace what may be more relevant to our lives now. Using our imagination, art and bodywork we can create new possibilities and awareness. In our embodied approach, we strive for levels of consciousness beyond rational thinking – something we know but cannot easily express in words.
